After leaving further education Matt entered the financial services profession, completing his financial adviser training with the Co-Operative Insurance Society.

From this he progressed to senior roles within both RBS and Yorkshire Bank, achieving several accolades including Financial Planner of the year for the North. Working with both banks allowed Matt to develop extensive experience and skills, focussing on dealing with high net worth and corporate clients.

After cementing himself within the industry, Matt then moved to a Chartered Financial Practice in Sheffield, where he used his skills to develop their proposition to high net worth and corporate clients. In addition to dealing with his own portfolio of clients, Matt used his expertise to assist other advisers with more complex areas of financial planning for their clients. He was an integral member of the firm’s investment committee, helping manage the firm’s model portfolios and Centralised Investment Proposition whilst also assisting in the production of the investment bulletins.

As well as advising individuals and company owners, Matt also works closely with clients within the medical profession helping them understand the complexity of the NHS pension scheme whilst also advising them on their personal circumstances.

Matt is married with 3 children, 2 of which are grown up. He enjoys walks with the family and pet dog “Monty” and is also a keen golfer, being a former scratch player and formally holding the course record of 65 at Phoenix Golf Club in Rotherham for 10yrs.
